Our team

Better people make better lending

We lend billions of dollars to commercial real estate projects every year. But it’s not just capital that distinguishes us. It’s the empowered nature of our workforce. Our advisors are experienced experts whose sole focus is to deliver financing strategies that enable you to achieve greater success.

Our Better Lending culture – three decades in the making – is built on the skill that comes from pure mortgage lending.  Because we start from a position of knowledge about you, your project, and your market, we can design solutions that are fit for your purpose. And because accountability is in our nature, we meet our commitments.

Better by design, better by nature, better for you in every corner of the country.

Organized. Insightful. Empathetic.

“I add value by deepening connections with borrowers, providing oversight and organization for the team and innovating our marketing strategies.”

Cindy joined the First National team in 2021, bringing strong administration, organization and interpersonal skills to her role as Associate Analyst. Her strength in communication comes from her genuine interest making people feel seen and supported. She remembers the little things and nurtures client relationships with a highly personal and meaningful touch. Cindy’s disarming nature and steadfastness allows people to safely step outside of their comfort zones. It is why both borrowers and colleagues across departments rely on her and trust her word. Highly organized and motivated, Cindy manages a growing team of analysts and supports Henry Chung in deepening existing client relationships, developing new business and growing his presence as a commercial real estate expert online and within the industry. She also leverages First National’s extensive network of experts to empower clients with knowledge, enabling them to make informed decisions and confidently seize opportunities.

When she’s not adding value for First National borrowers, Cindy explores small-town café culture, rides horses, captures moments on film, dines at Toronto’s trendiest new restaurants and embraces winter on scenic hikes.
